Body Design is the recipient of the 2009 East Gwillimbury Small Business of the Year Award, and the 2010 East Gwillimbury Large Business of the Year Award.

November 2008 Kim Mortson is nominated for three East Gwillimbury community awards and receives 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year by the East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce "Spirit of Success" Business Awards for her business leadership, growth and development and supporting healthier communities.

April 2008 As a result of her community involvement and dedication to supporting healthy and active living, lululemon athletica selects Kim Mortson as an official Community Ambassador for the Upper Canada Mall store community.

Rogers Television (York Region) highlights Kim Mortson, Body Design and urban pole walking on their hip, half-hour community magazine program, “York Region Living”. Further media opportunities with Rogers will take place in June, 2008, when Kim is scheduled to appear on “Daytime”, Roger’s live lifestyle program.

March 2008 Kim visits the Jill Hewlett show, “The Body, Mind, Spirit in Motion…” to discuss the successful development and creation of Body Design, the services offered, and the philosophy and personalized holistic approach to fitness training and nutritional counseling.

February 2008 Provincial Council (Ontario) for Fitness Industry Canada accepts Kim Mortson as formal Council Member. The council’s focus is to positively influence government officials and legislative decisions affecting the commercial fitness industry in Ontario.

January 2008 Kim Mortson discusses how to successfully adopt New Year’s resolutions on Rogers Television “Insights”, a live, interactive program that profiles issues and events from across York Region.

November 2007 Kim Mortson is highlighted in Fitness Business Canada Magazine “Candid Manager Profile” for FITNET.ca (Canada’s Network for Fitness Providers) and shares her thoughts on owning and operating a thriving business in the health and fitness industry.

November 2006 Body Design is nominated for East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce “Small Business of the Year”.

September 2006 Kim Mortson is guest speaker on Rogers Television “Insights” and shares personal perspective on issues facing women entrepreneurs.

May 2006 Kim Mortson is guest speaker at “Travel in Style” fashion show.

February 2006 Body Design hosts “The Power of You – Surviving and Thriving the Menopause Years” conference in York Region.

November 2003 Kim Mortson is recognized as East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce “Entrepreneur of the Year – 2003”.
