Kim Mortson

Kim MortsonInspiring and helping others in their approach to healthier living is something Body Design owner Kim Mortson finds extremely rewarding. A seasoned specialist in fitness, training, nutrition and wellness, Kim combines outstanding qualifications, industry recognition and personal enthusiasm with her Body Design philosophy. Kim transitioned into the qualified professional she is today and knows first hand what it means to change one’s approach to fitness. Her certifications include:

  • Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology
  • Personal Trainer and Nutrition and Wellness Specialist from CanFitPro
  • Qualified Older Adult Fitness Pro-Trainer
  • Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist
  • Certified FKCI Bootcamp Canada Instructor- Level 1

Connected to health and fitness at a provincial and national level, in February 2008, Kim was accepted as a Provincial Council Member (Ontario) for the Fitness Industry Canada.

Within the York Region business community, Kim has also established a strong reputation for her distinctive style, personalized services and business spirit. In April 2008, Kim was selected to become a Community Ambassador for the lululemon athletica© yoga-inspired apparel retail chain.

Kim is currently the Co-Chair of the Mt. Albert Sports Day 5km Run/Walk (2016 and 2017 races).  Kim served as President of the York Region Business Women’s Association in 2005 and as Past President in 2006.  Kim also served as the Chair of the Leapfrog Business Networking Group in 2009. She is also a valued member of Ontario Society of Health and Fitness, Fitness Industry Canada and the Canadian Association of Sports Sciences and is locally registered with the East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce and Mount Albert Village Association.

Over the years, Kim has been nominated and recognized numerous times for her entrepreneurial successes and business savvy including the East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce "Spirit of Success" Business Awards: Entrepreneur of the Year – 2008, Small Business of the Year – 2009 and Large Business of the Year - 2010. At home, Kim is an active mother and grandmother. Kim enjoys many activities including running, water skiing, downhill skiing, cooking and hiking.

Carol Manning

Carol ManningCarol has been in the fitness industry for over 10 years and is certified as a Personal Trainer and Bootcamp, Yoga-Fit and C.O.R.E instructor. She is also a qualified Older Adult Fitness Specialist who teaches the benefits of regular exercise and weight training for the aging body.

Carol's Philosophy: "The human body is meant to be physically active. By incorporating exercise and proper nutrition into our lives, we are able to enhance every aspect of our physical and mental well-being. As a result, you will have more energy to enjoy life and reduce the risk of illness and disease. I live on Lake Simcoe with my two teenage daughters and we enjoy swimming, water-skiing, wakeboarding, and hiking in the great outdoors. I look forward to meeting you to help inspire, motivate and educate you. It’s not about having the time, it’s about making the time."

Rhonda Fintelman

Rhonda FintlemanRhonda is a Certified Crossfit Coach and Nutritional Therapist, who is very excited to be part of the Body Design Team! She is a Certified Crossfit Coach and Nutritional Therapist and has been working with personal training clients on a one-to-one basis or in-class settings for the past 5 years.

"I strongly believe anyone, at any fitness level can learn to enjoy fitness. By keeping workouts fun and full of variety is the best way to keep my clients wanting to come back for more. I love to be as creative as possible while keeping movements functional. I dedicate myself to making sure my clients succeed one step at a time and realize that they are entirely capable of reaching their goals. Nothing is more satisfying to me than watching my clients transform and seeing their confidence soar! I also believe that many results begin in the kitchen. I love to help my clients figure out how to get the most out of their diets to reach the goals they are looking for."

Jen Mark

Jen Mark


Jen is an Athletic Therapist, Registered Kinesiologist, and certified Strength and Conditioning coach. In addition to her role as Personal Trainer at Body Design, Jen treats clients at the Sports Medicine Centre of Excellence in Newmarket. She has been training clients of varying fitness levels since 2004. Jen has trained athletes from beginner runners/triathletes to those competing in world championships for half ironman and marathon. Her approach to training involves functional exercises that allow the body to work better. With her athletic therapy background, Jen can work with clients that have acute or chronic injuries.

Jen has worked with professional & national teams such as the Toronto Argonauts & the Men's National Field Hockey team (who just qualified for Rio 2016). Jen also worked with the York University Track & Field teams and with them won 3 national team bronze medals and a national championship. She also won the Ontario Junior Hockey League Championship with the Stouffville Spirit in 2012. Jen is the head therapist with the York Simcoe Express Hockey Assoc. and just finished the season with the Minor Midget team, who won the 2015 Silver Stick tournament, the 2016 OMHAs and 2016 OHL Cup. Jen has travelled throughout North America and the Pan Americas working with teams. She was also a medical manager at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto. Jen is also a Director for the Ontario Athletic Therapists Association.

Michelle Stone

Michelle StoneHere at Body Design, Michelle is dedicated to educating you in discovering natural, easy, non-intimidating ways to eat whole foods and reach your health and weight loss goals. Her education in Holistic Nutrition, Kinesiology and love for nutritional research, supports her in creating new and innovative approaches to help you reach a healthier more productive you. Michelle’s holistic approach helps you increase your energy, achieve your “ideal” weight, and find balance in all aspects of your life.

Michelle is also an elementary school teacher. She loves being active by participating in sports and spends her free time weight training at the gym, baking healthy snacks for clients and counseling all things nutrition.
