It’s Time To Register for our Spring Yoga and Small Group Training classes!

Body Design offers fun filled, high quality Yoga and Fitness classes led by certified fitness professionals. Our classes will help you improve your current fitness level or meet your health goals in a safe and friendly environment. All online class participants will receive access to their class recordings. All “in person” class participants will be able to make up missed classes by attending another “in person” class at any time during the Winter session.

Please note that our early bird rate registration deadline to take advantage of discounted fees is Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

MONDAYS

Essential Yoga

April 8 – June 24, 6:00 – 7:00 pm
11 Classes (No class on May 20)

Class Details
Mind, body and spirit unite in this gentle class, lovely for beginners and seasoned yogis alike. The class is largely reclined and seated postures with a short standing section. In each class, students will learn a few new poses so it always feels fresh and we will revisit familiar poses to recognize growth and build confidence. Designed to develop healthy, resilient muscles, skeletal alignment and joint stability. Participants will need a yoga mat and comfortable clothing.

Strengthen & Relax

Class Details
This class is a small step up from our Essential Yoga class. Starting always with a lengthy warm up and then on to flowing standing sequences. Occasional holds of poses like Warrior, Plank, and Balances found throughout to enrich strength and build intensity. Designed to elevate the heart rate and then guide it back down to a deeply peaceful state. Positive affirmations included to bring moments of mindfulness. Participants will need a yoga mat and comfortable clothing.

TUESDAYS

Fundamental Yoga

Class Details

In this slow to moderately paced class, you will gain a new knowledge and understanding of your body. With awareness  to the mind, breath and  body connection, using Yoga techniques and asana you will learn how to relax, stretch, strengthen and move your body safely.

WEDNESDAYS

Small Group Training

Class Details
Small Group Training is an affordable way to get personalized training sessions while benefiting from the energy of a group. Steph (certified Personal Trainer) will provide a wide range of strength exercises using dumbbells. Posture and stabilization exercises will also be incorporated with bursts of cardio. Focus will be on technique, increasing strength, balance, and coordination. Consider this a Personal Training session with your friends! Each training session includes a class recording so you can do your workout multiple times at your convenience.

Yoga Stretch

Class Details

Yoga stretches are one of the best ways to begin restoring your body to better health, by improving balance, flexibility and circulation. In this class we will explore a series of gentle, low impact stretches and poses that will help loosen tense muscles, deepen your breathing and relax your mind. These stretches and postures are easy for anyone to do, because you can tailor them to meet your own body’s needs with simple modifications.

Beginner Yoga

Class Details

In this slower paced Yoga class we will start by learning the proper form and technique of the Yoga postures. Throughout the class you will gain a better understanding of your body, how it works and how to move from one posture to another, fluidly and safely. With awareness to the breath and the mind body connection we will use Yoga techniques and postures to relax, stretch, strengthen and move your body safely. No previous Yoga experience needed.  Participants will need a yoga mat.

Feel Good Flow

Apr 10 – June 26, 7:15 – 8:15 pm

Location: Mt. Albert Community Centre

Class Details

End your day with a sense of serenity as Elan guides you through a flow that will lead you into a calm and relaxed state of mind. The class will have a combination of both mobility and strength. Movements will focus on a different area of the body from week to week, targeting areas that may be a little stiff or sore. We welcome students to listen to their bodies and modify poses accordingly. Allow yourself to listen to what it is your body needs in a space free of worry.

Small Group Training

  • Late registrations will be pro-rated.
  • Body Design cannot give refunds.
